Winter Wedding in the courtyard at South Congress Hotel!

With our mild winters in Austin, TX, it is not unreasonable to plan an outdoor wedding. The courtyard at the modern South Congress Hotel is a great location to host a winter wedding ( or anytime really !!)

For this winter wedding, a soft pastel palette of seasonal blooms and highlighting a winter favorite, the anemone!

Ceremony took place on the steps of the courtyard. The bride and groom were flanked with a dissected arbor, a very popular design for our modern couples. After the ceremony , the 2 columns were repurposed into the reception area to jazz up the dessert station.

Reception.

The winter reception took place indoors in the ballroom. The dinner tables featured 2 different designs- a more floral option along with a more candle forward option. We hung an assortment of disco balls over the dancefloor to create a festive party vibe.

We love the advantages that come with having a wedding ceremony and reception at at hotel.

Being able to have both parts at one place keeps guests from traveling, keeps the timeline efficient.

The amount of inhouse rentals available- tables/chairs/ flatware/ stemware. You can certainly upgrade them, but if any one of them are great, it helps keep the outside rentals charges in check. Then there is the catering and bar- it is their home base, so it should be amazing!
