MODERN SUMMER WEDDING AT THE ARLO

A Modern Black, White, Green  and Mauve  Summer Wedding at The Arlo

When modern architecture meets thoughtful floral design, the result is always striking—and this wedding at The Arlo was no exception. Designed with a fresh palette of black, white, green and mauve, the overall aesthetic felt effortlessly chic, architectural, and perfectly on trend.

The bridesmaids wore elegant mix-and-match gowns in black. The variation of styles added a personal touch while keeping the overall look cohesive and refined. We complemented each dress with bouquets designed to highlight a single monobotanical type- including calla lilies, garden roses, hydrangea  and ranunculus.

THE CEREMONY

This summer wedding at The Arlo held its ceremony inside of Story Hall- perfect to beat the heat!

For the ceremony, we kept things clean but impactful. An airy installation featuring asymmetrical clusters of white and mauve blooms with flowing greenery framed the couple without blocking the view of the venue’s surroundings.

The goal was modern romance—nothing too heavy, nothing too traditional. Just thoughtful placement, seasonal blooms, and natural movement.

THE RECEPTION

The guest tables feature a thoughtful mix of tall and low centerpieces, creating visual rhythm throughout the room. Tall arrangements rise gracefully above the tables, composed of lush greenery and soft white blooms, drawing the eye upward and enhancing the room’s sense of openness. Interspersed among them, low centerpieces feel full and garden-inspired, allowing guests to connect easily across the table while still being immersed in florals.

Mauve taper candles are woven throughout the tablescape, adding warmth and a subtle wash of color. As the sun sets, their soft glow reflects off the white linens and glassware, giving the space a romantic, summer-evening ambiance that feels both modern and inviting.

In the center of the room, the head table becomes a focal point without feeling overdone. Draped in a classic toile linen, it’s adorned with a continuous, low floral arrangement designed to feel impactful yet refined. White  and green hydrangea take center stage—lush, cloud-like, and abundant—layered with touches of soft greenery for texture. The low profile keeps the design grounded and intimate, allowing the couple to remain the true focus while still making a statement.
